Hey everyone!
I’m an aspiring Cyber Security Software Engineer. I was first introduced to programming while I attended high school. At the time, I was required to complete a senior project on a career path I was interested in to graduate high school. The subject I chose was computer programming, which contained HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. After I completed it, I thought programming was too difficult to understand and grasp the concepts. Therefore, I maneuvered into the medical field to become a radiologic technologist. However, that career path was short-lived.
Several years later, I attempted to retry software engineering. Thankfully, I was selected as a web developer intern at the City of Refuge for 6 months. I met, collaborated, and had fun with some incredible people. I’ve learned the fundamentals of programming and created some great web applications. Afterwards, I worked at Interapt as a Software Apprentice Engineer and received hands-on training in various technologies.
In recent months, I realized cyber security and software engineering overlap. My goal is to combine my software engineering skills along with the cyber security knowledge and implement them into future projects. It is my dream to not only protect consumers from cyber crimes, but create functional, yet, aesthetically pleasing applications. I look forward to learning, growing, and developing new skill sets while acquiring more experience. Please contact me so we can discuss things further.
